The Reserve Bank of Australia issued these 2 Australian Dollars featuring John MacArthur on the front side and William Farrer on the back. These notes were in circulation in Australia between 1966 and 1972. These banknotes were issued in eight different denominations under the series Commonwealth of Australia.

The Two Australian Dollar is printed in green, blue and yellow multicolour under print. The front side of these banknotes features John MacArthur, an American Protestant pastor and author known for his internationally syndicated Christian teaching radio and television program Grace to You. The back side of this coin features William Farrer leading English Australian agronomist and plant breeder.
