The Bank of Algeria issued these 100 Dinars in 1992; they are still in circulation. The Bank of Algeria issued Algerian Dinar banknotes in 6 different denominations, including this 100 Algerian Dinars banknote. These banknotes were part of the current Algerian Dinar banknotes series.

The blue-coloured banknote of 100 Algerian Dinars features the Battle of El Harrach in 1775. The obverse side of this banknote features soldiers with spears and shields charging behind horseback cavalier with a sword during the Battle of El Harrach in 1775. The reverse side of this banknote features Seal with charging Algerian horse riders at the left and the Ancient Spanish galley in the center. The banknote is blue and measures 130 x 70 mm and Flowers and parallel horizontal lines watermark.
