Badrinath Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to lord Vishnu which is situated in the town of Badrinath in Uttarakhand, India. The site is located on the site of Alaknanda River, in the hill town of Badrinath in Uttarakhand state in India. It is considered the holiest Hindu temple; the temple has been dedicated to Lord Vishnu.The temple and town number among the four Char Dham pilgrimage sites as well as one of the 108 Divya Desams, holy shrines for Vaishnavites. This is an ancient Hindu temple, best known to be a source of the holy Alaknanda River. As per the Hindu religious belief visiting this temple washes away all the sins of a person and helps them in attaining moksha.
