It was the deadliest battle that took place during WWII.The Battle of Stalingrad was one of the most famous battles fought between Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union. In this battle, the Nazis and their allies fought unsuccessfully with the Soviet Union; for the control of the city of Stalingrad in Southern Russia. It stopped the German's advance into the Soviet Union and marked the turning of the tide of war in favour of the Allies.
