Bhai Parmanand Commemorative Stamp

Bhai Parmanand was an Indian Nationalist and one of the prominent leaders of Hindu Mahasabha. He got influenced by the ideas of Lala Lajpat Rai. After reading the letter of Lala Lajpat Rai, which Lala Lajpat Rai wrote to him in 1909, he jotted the idea that 'the territory beyond Sindh could be united, with North-West Frontier Province into the great Musulman Kingdom. He supported the idea that the Hindus of the region should come away, while at the same time the Musulmans in the rest of the country should go and settle in this territory.Bhai Parmanand visited South Africa and stayed with Mahatma Gandhi as a Vedic missionary in October 1905. He also visited Guyana in 1910, which was the centre of the Arya Samaj movement in the Caribbean.
The government of India issued this commemorative stamp in 1979 to commemorate him and his work.
