Canada Post issued a Help for Ukraine semi-postal stamp on July 7 in response to the current humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.

The non-denominated, permanent-rate semi-postal stamp includes a 10cents surcharge. The surcharge goes directly to the Canada-Ukraine Foundation, which has a long history of assisting Ukraine and has been delivering aid wherever needed in the current crisis.

Designed by Helene L’Heureux and Isabelle Toussaint, the stamp design features a sunflower, Ukraine’s national flower on a background of blue and yellow. A donation of 10cents from the purchase of each FDC will go to the Canada-Ukraine Foundation.

The sunflower is Ukraine’s national flower, and the yellow flower and blue-sky background on the stamp design display the colours of the Ukrainian flag.
