King of Thailand on 500 Thai Baht Banknote

The Bank of Thailand issued Thai banknotes depicting this Majesty King King Rama IX. These banknotes are issued in six different denominations. They were part of the current Thai Baht banknotes series. The Bank of Thailand issued these notes in 2001, they are still in circulation. One of the improved security features on the ?500 bill is a hologram security foil strip.King Rama IX was born as Bhumibol Adulyadej, conferred with the title King Bhumibol the Great in 1987. He was the ninth monarch of Thailand and was titled Rama IX. He sat on the throne of Thailand on 9th June 1946 and ruled it until 2016. He was the second-longest monarch of Thailand and ruled Thailand for 70 years and 126days.
