Ukkirapandi Muthuramalingam, also known as Pasumpon Muthuramalingam, was a politician and a patriarch of the Thevar community in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. He was a freedom-fighter-cum-spiritual leader. Three times he was elected to the national Parliamentary Constituency.
Pasumpon Muthuramalingam Thevar was closely associated with Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. He has also served as national Deputy Chairman of All India Forward Bloc (AIFB) since 1952.
Pasumpon Muthuramalingam Thevar is seen as a diety among Mukulathor community. The people of Mukulathor community still make him offering on his Jeyanthi and Guru Pooja celebrations.
This commemorative was issued by the Indian government in 1995 to commemorate him and his work.
