First Day Cover was issued on the occasion of Joint Celebrations of the year 50th Anniversary of UAE’s formation and the 75th Anniversary of the independence of India.The bilateral relations between India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) were established diplomatic relations in 1972. UAE opened its Embassy in Delhi in 1972 & India opened its Embassy in Abu Dhabi in 1973. India is UAE's largest export destination & trading partner with a bilateral trade turnover of US$ 68.4 billion in 2021. Currently, UAE and India share political, economical, and cultural links.
A rail tunnel under the sea is being built between India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It will be 2000 kilometers in length. In 2022 India & United Arab Emirates (UAE) signed a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) with a motto of taking bilateral trade to US Dollar 100 billion within 5 years.
