On 6th July, the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) introduced the 2016 Happy Birthday Currency Note. The uncirculated Series 2013 $1 note features serial number beginning with "2016xxxx”. These notes would be offered in a clear, acid-free polymer sleeve which would then be placed in a birthday-themed folder.
