Jatindra Nath Mukherjee Commemorative Stamp

Jatindra Nath Mukherjee, also known as BaghaJatin, was an Indian independence activist. He got the name 'BaghaJatin' after killing a tiger single-handed without any arms. Jatindra Nath Mukherjee was an efficient sincere, honest, obedient, and diligent employee.BaghaJatin was one of the chief Bengali revolutionaries fighting against British rule in India. He became the leader of the Yugantar political party in Bengal, which was instrumental in organizing revolutionary activities against the British. BaghaJatin was influenced by the Bhagavad Gita and the writings of Bankim Chandra. He was also inspired by Sri Aurbindo’sBhavaniMandir and Swami Vivekananda.
This commemorative stamp was issued by the Indian Government in 1970, to commemorate him and his work.
