2022-04-20 Wed

On 17th October 2018, the Singapore Post issued an interesting series of 8 stamps devoted to famous nursery rhymes locally, popular with children from the different communities of the Asian, South and South-East Asian, and European countries.

Designed by Andy Koh, this series illustrates different nursery rhymes in English, Mandarin, Malay and Tamil which are the 4 official languages of Singapore. These nursery rhymes have for themes: old MacDonald's farm, black sheep's wool, two tigers, a little donkey, frog jumps, a stork, a Kokarako crowing rooster and an elephant.

These stamps will impart the value of cultural and racial diversity to young Singaporeans. These stamps were among the top designs at Singapore Creator Awards 2019.
