Banknote of the Year 2015

The IBNS 'Bank Note of the Year is awarded to a banknote issued during the preceding year and it is judged on artistic merit, design, and security features. The winning entry of 2015, for notes issued during 2014, is New Zealand's 5 Dollars Note.The five NZ dollars has a portrait of mountaineer Sir Edmund Hillary in the front. Aoraki - Mount Cook - New Zealand's highest mountain is in the background. On the reverse side of the 5 NZD note are a hoiho penguin and Campbell Island Daisy and Ross lily. The text on the polymer note is in English and Maori.
This note was nominated as the IBNS note of the year 2015 by Sean Pemberton and won the honor of being the Banknote of the Year 2015.
