Rash Behari Bose Commemorative Stamp

Rash Behari Bose was an Indian revolutionary leader against British Raj. He was one of the key organizers of the plan to assassinate Lord Charles Hardinge. He was also the key organizer of the Ghadar Mutiny and the founder of the First Indian National Army during World War II.

Rash Behari Bose started his career doing a clerical job at the Dehra Dun Forest Research Institute. He was, however, attracted to the revolutionary ideas and radical movements of Jatin Mukherjee alias Bagha Jatin and got involved with him in the revolutionary freedom fighters of Bengal.

Rash Behari Bose was the founder of Hindu Mahasabha and became its first president. Bose got involved in various revolutionaries movements.
