Narayan Malhar Joshi also known as N.M. Joshi was an Indian trade union leader, along with Gopal Krishna Gokhale. He was involved in labor issues along; he started the All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC) with Lala Lajpat Rai in 1920. Two times he was appointed as General Secretary of AITUC, first between 1925 and 1929 and second between 1940 and 1948.
Narayan Malhar Joshi established an organization called the Social Service League. This league conducted a training program for volunteers, later on, their training was utilized for relief work among the people suffering from, epidemics, floods, and other disasters, and also for welfare programs among the poor and the destitute.
