Veer DurgadasRathore was Rathore Rajput General of the Kingdom of Marwar. He was one of the chieftains of Jaswant Singh, the King of Jodhpur when Aurangzeb ruled Delhi. He commanded the Rathore forces during Rajput War.
He also played a vital role in the Rajpur Rebellion 1708-1710, which became one of the main reasons for the fall of the Mughal Empire. He won several battles against the Mughal Empire and forced the Mughal Empire to pay tribute to him in the form of Chauth.
DurgadasRathore was a famous personality in Marwar. He is tributed for preserving the rule of the Rathore Dynasty over Marwar after the death of Maharaja Jaswant Singh in the 17th century.
