In the year 2013, Palau Mint issued coin series on the theme of Mythical Creatures. The 10 Dollars silver coin features the most ferocious of the Mythical creature – a Werewolf.

A werewolf is in stories and mythology, a man who can transform into a wolf. Most of the stories tell of people which received a pact with the devil and got a belt made of wolf fur obtained from him which could transform them on the full moon day.

On the front is a werewolf depicted, which completed his transformation during the full moon. The full moon is made of white marble and is provided with fine details. On the back is the coat of the Republic of Palau. At the bottom is the value of 10 Dollars.
