2 Rupee Error Note

The 2 rupees note features a bust of the Bengal tiger and Reserve Bank Seal. The front side of the note shows numeral denomination in bold and Asoka Emblem. The legends on the note are, “Reserve Bank of India; GUARANTEED BY THE CENTRAL GOVERNMENT; I PROMISE TO PAY THE BEARER THE SUM OF TWO RUPEES”.Ram Narain Malhotra was the 17thgovernor of the Reserve Bank of India and served between 4 February 1985 and 22 December 1990. He also served as Secretary, Finance, and as India's Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund. The 500-rupee note was introduced during his tenure.
