Zakir Hussain Khan was an Indian economist and politician who served India as the third president of India from 1967 until he died in 1969. He was also the first Muslim President of India and the first president to die while still holding the position of the president.Dr.ZakirHussain is well known for his wisdom, good humor, tolerance, and democratic credentials. He had also served India as Vice-President of India and ex officio Chairman of RajyaSabha between 1962 and 1967. He was also a member of the RajyaSabha and Governor of Bihar.
