Jayaprakash Narayan Commemorative Stamp

Jayaprakash Narayan was an Indian independence leader, political leader, and theorist. He is known as ‘Hero of Quit India Movement. Jayaprakash Narayan considers as the best opposition against Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. He was awarded, Bharat Ratna in 1999; He also received India’s highest civilian award for his social service.Indira Gandhi was found guilty of violating electoral laws by Ahmedabad High Court. Jayaprakash Narayan made Indira Gandhi resign, and the police disregard unconstitutional and immoral orders.
This commemorative stamp was issued in 2001 by the Indian Government to commemorate him and his work.
