Austria Stamp honours Modern Art

‘Modern art in Austria’ is a stamp series is a multiple series stamp depicting the work of Austrian artist herbet Brandl who is also regarded as one of the main proponents of the world ‘New Wild Ones’. He is known for his landscape imagery executed in vibrant colour and dizzying brushstrokes.The stamps are designed by Regina Simon, the designer has tried to show the artist original work. This stamp features the mountain one of the masterpiece of the artist. Artist Herbet Brandl is regarded as one of the most successful Austrian painter at present. He is also considered as a repsentative of neo-expressionism. He is emerged from Hamburg School painting tradition.
