Commemorative Stamp on Indian Tea

India is the world's largest consumer of India and the second-largest producer of tea. The Indian tea industry has grown to own many global tea brands and has evolved into one of the most technologically equipped tea industries in the world.Tea was introduced in India in the 19th Century by the British government to overcome the monopoly of Chinese production. During that time the British government use to import tea from China that causes dents in their treasury. To overcome this situation they started producing tea in India. India became one of the biggest tea producers in the world by 1850.
This commemorative stamp on tea was introduced by the Indian government in 1993 to commemorate tea.
