Saint Meerabai was the 16th Century royal princess who lived in the North Indian states of Rajasthan. She is a well-known mystic poet or saint belonging to the Bhakti Movement. She attained the status of a Hindu saint by practicing devotion towards Lord Krishna. Despite facing criticism from her own family, she lived a simple and saintly life. The most surprising thing about this relationship was that; Meera personified Krishna as her husband, of her soul. She composed and sang praises of Lord Krishna. She sacrifices everything for her devotion to Krishna. She renounced her family for the love of God and attained Moksha by following Bhakti Yoga.
