Today on August 21, 1959, Hawaii was officially declared as the fiftieth state of the United States of America. It is the only state in the United States of America located in the Pacific Ocean about 2000 miles from the U.S mainland. The state of Hawaii is located in Oceania; it is the only state of the United States of America located outside North America and the only one composed entirely of islands.

Hawaii culture is strongly influenced by North American and East Asian culture. This state is the 8th smallest state and 11th least populous state of the United States of America. This commemorative stamp was issued in the year 1976 by the United States of America, to commemorate this state.
