This lead coin was issued by Satavahana king Siri Satakarni. This coin is listed for INR 20,000 in the upcoming electronic auction of Classical Numismatic Gallery that will be held on 15th August 2021.The obverse side of this coin depicts Goddess Laxmi sitting crossed leg in the center on a lotus, and being lustrated by elephants on a lotus on either side. The two elephants hold water-pots in their trunks and lustrate the goddess. Goddess Gajalakshmi has a significant place in Hindu mythology. In Hindu mythology, Laxmi is a representative of prosperity, good luck, and abundance. The reverse side of this coin depicts Tree with broad leaves within a railing, an ancillary symbol around.
