Kishangarh was the Princely State during the British rule in India, located in the center of Rajputana. Princely State Kishangarh was founded by Prince Kishan Singh, in the year 1609. Before Kishan Singh, this state was also ruled; by Maharaja Samokhan Singh, a distant relative of Kishan Singh. This Princely State came under British dominance by the treaty concluded in the year 1818 and, later it became the part of state Rajasthan in the year 1948 CE.

The coins of Princely State Kishangarh were first issued in the name of the Mughal Emperor and later British rulers.
