Gold Punch Marked Gadyana Coin Listed For INR 70,000

This gold Nolambas gadyana coin was issued by Nolambas of Nolambavadi during their ruler between 969 CE and 975 CE. The obverse side of the coin depicts nine punches 5x Nandi seated couchant facing right, 2x Kannada letter 'Shri', 1x Kannada legend Nanni, 1x Kannada legend Nolamba inscribed retrograde.The Nolamba were the minor Southern Indian Dynasty, they emerged and flourished to the Rashtrakutas in the 9th and 10 Centuries CE. They ruled the areas of Hemavati, (Today’s Andhra Pradesh) for 350 years. The rulers of the Nolamba dynasty are known as ‘Nolambavadi’.
This gold punch-marked gadyana coin is listed for INR 70,000, in an upcoming auction of Classical Numismatic Gallery that will be held on 15th August 2021.
