Tiger on new Coin of Barbados
2021-07-29 Thu
Barbados Mint has recently issued a 5 dollar ultra relief coin among the series Colours of Wildlife depicts the most iconic predator of the jungle: the Tiger.Struck in three full ounces of highly pure 99.9% silver, this massive coin depicts a close-up image of a tiger peering through a patch of jungle vegetation. The colourized eyes seem as if they’re looking right through you! Augmenting the design is selective green enamel on the coin that frames the tiger’s face.
The obverse of the coin depicts the National Emblem in the centre along with the name of the country and the denomination. A collage of different animals is in the middle circle and the outer ring is inscribed with the theme “Colors of Wildlife”.
