Today in the year 1969, Neil Armstrong, along with two other American pilots Pilot Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins, landed on the surface of the moon on 20th July 1969. The primary objectives of Apollo 11 were to complete the national goals set by president John.F. Kennedy, to perform a crew landing and return to earth. The crew of Apollo 11 return back to earth on July 24, 1969.Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed on the surface of the moon, seven hours later while Michael Collins remains in orbit in the lunar module.
