2016 Euro Cup Celebrated on 10 Euro French Coins

Silver commemorative 10 Euro coins were issued by the Monnaie de Paris to celebrate the Euro 2016 soccer championships which began on 10th June and will continue till 10th July, 2016.The obverse features the legs of a football player in motion, all set to kick a ball. The UEFA logo along with the inscription ‘Euro2016 France’ is showcased with Geometric shapes in the background. Below the legs is a football field with the date ‘2016’ and the Monnaie de Paris mintmark, “horn of plenty”. The mint master’s initials and the UEFA trademark are also inscribed.
The reverse features overlapped hexagons with 24 sides representing the number of countries taking part in the tournament. Other inscriptions include the denomination ‘10 EURO’, ‘REPUBLIQUE FRANCAISE’ and branches of oak and laurel indicating the Euro symbol.
