Mongol Coin Features Wolverine

The 500 tugrik won of Mongolia features Wolverine. This coin is the 26th "Coin of the Year 2009" award winner. It is issued by the National Bank of Mongolia promoting wildlife protection.The Wolverine of northern Eurasia and North America is also called Marten Bear or the Gulo Gulo. This bear-like creature is a night-active and soil inhabitant. It is on the red list of endangered species and on many parts of the earth already extinct.
The National Bank of Mongolia issued an artist and extinguishes silver coin in the series of wildlife protection series. This commemorative coin depicts very artist high relief features. It portrays a Gulo Gulo, a wolverine-like creature depicted with Swarovski crystals for eyes.
