The Financial Authority of Singapore started issuing these 2 Singapore Dollar banknotes in 2006. They are currently still in circulation.This two dollars banknote shows the portrait of Yusof bin Ishak , 1st president of Singapore. There is a paper and polymer plastic version of the banknote. The $2 note contains the word ‘Singapore’. The backside of the $2 bill features children attending classes at the Victoria Bridge School.
