Lalit Narayan Mishra was an Indian Politician, he serves as India as Minister of Railway between 1973 and 1795.Lalit Narayan Mishra joined Indian National Congress and was also a member of the first, second, and fifth Lok Sabha. He was also appointed as a member of the Rajya Sabha from 1964 to 1966, later in 1966 to 1972. He was also appointed at the various post by party and government. He was appointed as Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Planning, Labour and Employment (1957–60), Deputy Minister for Home Affairs (1964–66), Deputy Finance Minister (1966–67), and Minister of State for Defence Production (1967–70). Between 1970 and 4th February 1973 he was appointed as Minister of Foreign Trade. In the same year, he was also appointed as Minister of Railways by Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
