It’s a golden opportunity to start or expand the Indian note collection with this valuable note. Here, we present 1 Rupee note of 1981 bearing the signature of M. Narasimham. This type has no inset letter. Serial number and prefix letter (K or L) may vary from image.The one rupee note features, Sagar Samrat or the offshore oil rig on the backside. M. Narasimham was the thirteenth governor of the Reserve Bank of India, served as the secretary in the Ministry of Finance, and additional secretary of the Department of Economic Affairs. He was awarded India's second-highest civilian honor Padma Vibhushan in 2000.
He joined the RBI as a research officer in its Economic Department. He was the first Reserve Bank cadre officer to be appointed as governor of the central bank.
