This silver tanka that weight around 10.64g was issued by Ala Al-Din Husain Shah of Bengal Sultanate from the mint Hussainabad.Ala Al-Din Husain Shah was an independent ruler of the Bengal Sultanate; he was the founder of the Husain Shah dynasty. He sat on the throne of Bengal Sultanate after the assassination of Abyssinian Sultan, Shams-ud-Din Muzaffar Shah, whom he had served under as a Wazir. He ruled the Bengal Sultanate from 1493 to 1519 AD.
Ala Al-Din Husain Shah issued three different categories of coins. It also has different types in it.
1- Coins with the name of the legend on the obverse and Shahada on the reverse.
2- Victory Coins.
3- Coins in which the ruler's name is spread on both sides.
