Henry VI was King of England reigning from 1422 to 1461 and again from 1470 to 1471. On 16th December in the year 1431, he became king of France at Notre-Dame, in Paris.

Henry was born on 6th December 1421 at Windsor Castle to Henry V. He succeeded to the English throne at the age of nine months upon his father's death, and succeeded to the French throne on the death of his maternal grandfather Charles VI shortly afterward. He is the only English monarch to also have been crowned King of France.

But due to his simple mind and straightforward thinking, he faced many hurdles in his reign. England lost the hundred-year war with France and was facing a Civil war within the country later known as the War of Roses.

War of Roses took place due to disagreement between the two Strong noble houses of England – the house of York and Lancastrian. During this civil war, King Henry VI lost his hold on England throne and was imprisoned for nine years.

Later he again ascended the throne when the strong Lancastrian army rescued him but after one year, when the house of Lancastrian lost. King Henry VI was imprisoned in London Tower and Murdered later.
