Mahamati Prannath was a follower of Pranami Sampraday. Pranami Samoraday is a Krishnaite community that believes in the supreme truth of God.

Mahamati Prannathji was the religious guru of Chhatrasal. When Maharaja Chhatrasal came to meet Swami Prannathji in Ramnagar; he was highly impressed by Swami Prannathji and became his disciple. During the meeting, Swami Prannathji gave Raja Chhatrasal his sword and coved his head with a scarf, and said Raja he will always be victorious. He also blessed Raja saying that Diamond mines will be discovered in his hands and he will be a great emperor. Swami Prannathji also helped raja in his political, social, and economic life.

Mahamati Prannath believed that unity in variety is the plan of the universe. We are all human beings who are different from one another. As a man we are separate from the woman, as a human being, you are one with the woman. As human beings, we are separated from animals, but as living beings man, woman, animal, and plant are one and also exist one with the whole universe.
