The museum is an important factor of the national identity of the country as it exhibits pieces of the country’s past.
The reverse depicts Adonis' bridge on the "Nahr El Kalb" river, which is another evidence of the history of Lebanon. From the Egyptian Pharaoh to the British army this route has been taken by many conquerors. The bridge was built by a pasha from Mount Lebanon between 1883 and 1892.
