Robert Tyre Jones Jr. also known as Bobby Jones was an American amateur golfer, he was one of the most influential figures in the history of sports. In 1930, he became the first man to achieve gold Grand Slam; he won four major tournaments in a single year: the British Open (Open Championship), the U.S. Open, and the British and U.S. amateur championships.
Bobby Jones was the most successful amateur golfer to complete both national and international levels. Between 1923 and 1930, he was at the highest level of this career, dominating all top-level amateur levels and competing against the world’s best professional golfers.
