This gold mohur issued by the East Indian Company in the year 1841 is listed for INR 1, 80,000 in an upcoming electronic auction of Todywalla that will be held on 14th March 2021.
The obverse of this coin depicts the bust of Queen Victoria facing towards the left. The continuous legend “VICTORIA QUEEN” written above; and the date 1841 is written at the bottom. The reverse side of the coin depicts a standing lion facing towards the left with a palm tree. The legend 'EAST INDIA COMPANY' is written above and the value of the coin both in English and in Persian is written at the bottom of the coin. In English, the value is written as 'ONE MOHUR' and in Persian, the value is written as 'YEK ASHRAFI'.
