Connecticut is one of the states of the United States of America, it is the southernmost state situated in the New England region of the United States of America. Connecticut is the third smallest state by the area of the United States of America and the 29th most populous and fourth densely populated state of the United States of America. Connecticut is also known as "Constitution State", the "Nutmeg State", the "Provisions State", and the "Land of Steady Habits". The highest peak in the state of Connecticut is Bear Mountain which lies in Salisbury in the northwest corner of the state.
