Herbert Hoover was an American politician, businessman, and engineer. He served the United States of America its 31st President from 1929 to 1933. Before serving the United States of America as its 31st President, he led the commission for Relief in Belgium. He had also served as the director of the U.S Food Administration and served as the third U.S. Secretary of Commerce.

Herbert Hoover had also achieved success as a mining engineer and worldwide gratitude as “The Great Humanitarian” who fed war-torn Europe during and after World War I. He gained much reputation by leading Hunger relief efforts in Europe during World War I.

His presidentship led to crises in the United States for over decades, Due to this reason he has defeated badly in the year 1932 presidential election by Democrat Franklin D. Roosevelt (1882-1945). After leaving office, Hoover retired to New York City and wrote articles, books, and answers to as many as 20,000 letters a month. He died there in 1964.
