Haji Mohammad Soeharto was an Indonesian politician and military general who served Indonesia as a second president. He holds presidential office for almost 31 years, from the ousting of Sukarno in 1967 until his resignation in 1998. His 31 years of Presidential ship is considered as one of the most brutal and corrupt of the 20th century.

In 1967, Suharto seized all the powers from his predecessor, the first president of Indonesia Sukarno. He re-elected every five years until his forced resignation in 1998, Suharto stabilized his nation and oversaw significant economic progress. His 31 years of rule gave Indonesia political stability and economic growth. But, his dictatorial ship, victim to an economic downturn and its internal corruption.
