U.S President Theodore Roosevelt Died Today

On 6th January 1919, Theodore Roosevelt, 26th President of the United States of America, died at Sagamore Hill, his estate overlooking New York’s Long Island Sound. He was also a writer, naturalist, and a soldier. He was a very dynamic and energetic politician; he brought new excitement and power to the office during his presidential period.

Before getting elected as a President of the United States of America, he was a young Republican. When he was a young Republican, he also held several political posts in New York between the 1880s and 1890s. He was also a reform Republican in the state.

In 1906 he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his mediation in the negotiations to end the Russo-Japanese War.

The United States of America issued this commemorative stamp on Theodore Roosevelt in the year 1986.
