A 2,000 year old agricultural land was excavated in Israel and a handful of silver coins were discovered at the site. Apart from the coins, olive and wine presses were found which suggest that the land was used for cultivating olive and also as a vineyard. Bronze coins minted by Hasmonean kings were also found which indicates that the estate’s Jewish residents may have been a part of the rebellion against Rome in A.D. 66.

As per official reports, the 16 silver coins that were discovered at the site comprised of one or two tetradrachms or didrachms minted in Tyre between 135 and 126 B.C. Experts state that these coins might have been preserved by a coin collector of those times.

There were several hideouts, secret chambers and storage spaces at the house. A ritual bath had an opening which takes you to a hiding place that contained artefacts dating back to the times of the Bar Kokhba rebellion, A.D. 132.
