Remembering Bipinchandra Pal

Bipinchandra Pal of the famous Lal-Bal-Pal trio passed away today, on 20th May 1932.He was a powerful journalist and a revolutionary freedom fighter. Bipinchandra Pal was called as the “Father of Revolutionary Thoughts” and was known as the “Bengal Tiger”.
Along with Aurobindo Ghosh, Bipinchandra Pal was recognised as the chief exponents of the new national ideals of Purna Swaraj, Swadeshi, boycott and national education.
Bipinchandra Pal is honoured on a 20 Naye Paise stamp issued by the India Post in 1958.
