60 Years of James Bond Films on British Stamps

“My name is Bond. James Bond”! The line has not lost its charm in 60 years. The most beloved Spy of the Fiction World is now coming to meet you through the philatelic issue of Royal Mail. Great Britain’s Royal Mail will issue stamps March 17 honoring the James Bond movie franchise.

That film is scheduled to premiere on March 31st. From Sean Connery to Daniel Craig and Dr. No to Spectre, there has been 6 James Bond and 24 Movies. The stamp issue said that the issue coincides with the release of the 25th film in the Bond franchise, ‘No Time To Die’.

Six stamps in two strips of three with the designs se-tenant (side-by-side) show six Bonds. The stamp depicts six actors who have portrayed the fictional British spy agent. Each stamp design also includes an image inspired by the opening title sequence of a Bond film.

The stamps are inscribed with the names of the actors that played the part of James Bond along with the names of the famous Bond movies they are associated with. Three stamps come are 1st class stamps whereas the other three come with the denominations of 1.60GBP. The vehicles are shown in a souvenir sheet of four stamps with one special “007” perforation. The sheet also includes hidden features that can only be seen under ultraviolet light.
