Finland issued a set of six stamps with a new theme called ‘Protect the Baltic Sea’. These stamps are the part of #OURSEA campaign which is commencing this year. It is designed by James Zambra and illustrates famous Moomin characters interacting with the sea. These stamps are designed to represent the campaign’s visual language and color scheme.

According to the study, the Baltic Sea is one of the most polluted seas in the world and its most serious environmental issues are eutrophication. The #OURSEA campaign aims to raise awareness of the condition of the Baltic Sea and gather funds for the John Nurminen Foundation’s work to protect the sea with its vibrant culture.
