This gold tanka which weighs around 11.18g was issued by Hasan Shah of Kashmir Sultanate. Hasan Shah was the sultan of the Shah Mir Dynasty of Kashmir Sultanate. The Kashmir Sultanate was a Muslim dynasty that ruled Kashmir from 1339 CE to 1561CE. The Shah Mir Dynasty was established by King Shah Mir in the year 1339 CE.
This gold tanka issued by king Hasan Shah is listed for INR 2,25,000 in the upcoming auction of Oswal Antiques which will be held in Ahmadabad on 8th February 2020 at 5:30 pm. The obverse of this coin is inscribed as ‘Nigin-i-Mulk Khatam-i-Sulaiman Hasan Shah ibn Haidar Shah Sultan’. The reverse of this coin is inscribed with shahada with mint and date in the margin.
