Sesquicentennial of American Independence Coin

Two and a half dollar was issued by the United States of America with the theme of American Independence in the year 1926. This commemorative quarter dollar was issued by the United States of America to Commemorative 150th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.The obverse of this coin depicts the draped female figure representing Liberty, standing on a segment of the globe and holding a lighted torch in one hand and the Declaration of Independence in the other. The inscription ‘UNITED STATES OF AMERICA’ written at the top and the inscription ‘LIBERTY’ is written at the bottom; date 1776 and 1926 are written at the left and right side of the coin. The reverse side of the coin depicts the image of Independence Hall; The inscription ‘SESQUICENTENNIAL OF AMERICAN INDEPENDENCE’ is written at the top; the inscription ‘IN GOD’ is written at the left side and the inscription ‘WE TRUST’ is written at the right side’ of the coin’ the bottom of the coin is inscribed with ‘E PLURIBUS UNUM’ and ‘2 1/2 DOLLARS’.
